As provost and chief academic officer at Howard Payne University, I have the distinct honor of serving with some of the most intelligent, passionate and hard-working faculty members I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.
The majority of those who teach at HPU hold terminal degrees in their respective fields. They passionately seek out new ways to learn and new ways to teach by regularly participating in developmental programs designed to benefit themselves and our students.
Infrastructures are in place at HPU to ensure that students struggling with their coursework receive the assistance they need. It is standard practice for our faculty members to communicate regularly with students outside of class, and HPU professors are always available by phone and e-mail to chat with students.
Perhaps most importantly, our faculty members have the freedom to integrate their faith into their classrooms. At HPU, students learn by example to serve God and humanity.
The greatest evidence that HPU’s faculty members are among the world’s best will be what you gather on your own. Come visit campus. Meet with our faculty, staff and students. There’s a home for you at Howard Payne University.
