HPU to present Evening of Theatre

BROWNWOOD – November 1, 2017 – Howard Payne University’s School of Music and Fine Arts will present an Evening of Theatre this Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. each evening in the HPU Theatre, 202 Whaley Street in Brownwood. Tickets are $5 per person and free for all HPU personnel and students.

HPU theatre students will perform a variety of monologues, musical numbers and audience-suggested improv scenes.

Dr. Nicholas Ewen, assistant professor of theatre, called the annual Evening of Theatre event a “one-of-a-kind theatre extravaganza.”

“Audiences will enjoy a broad range of performances from our very talented theatre students including both upperclassmen and our newest actors in the program,” he said. “You definitely won’t want to miss this event.”

Performers include Caleb Bostick, freshman from Brownwood; Jake Bowren, sophomore from San Antonio; Josh Collier, freshman from Voca; Katie Cravey, sophomore from Huntsville; Tanner Crow, freshman from Brownwood; Piper Davis, freshman from Bulverde; Christopher Freeland, junior from Brownwood; Hailey Green, junior from Kennedale; Sara Heinrichs, freshman from Hico; Isaac Howell, senior from Georgetown; Hayden Jacobs, senior from Lytle; Ransome Looper, sophomore from Abilene; Deejay Moses, junior from May; Bryce McWhirter, junior from Pflugerville; Gabby McWhirter, senior from Crosbyton; Shannon Parrish, senior from Brownwood; Laurel Pinkney, freshman from Carrollton; Cassia Rose, senior from Winnsboro; and Luke Victor, sophomore from Austin.
