BROWNWOOD, TX –June 21, 2011- Howard Payne University's School of Business recently inducted 12 new members into the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society in Business, Management and Administration. The ceremony was held on April 20 in the Bullion Suites at HPU's Mabee University Center.
This year's inductees are Elizabeth Barkley, Raymond Borjas, Jonathan Graham, Tamika Heline, Jacklyn Hiser, Nathaniel Pepe, Danielle van Eeden, Hannah Gramling, Amanda Jenkins, Cory Langford, Amber Schroepfer and Zachary Varner.
Officers for HPU’s chapter are Trissa Cox, associate professor of computer information systems, who serves as the Sigma Beta Delta chapter president and faculty advisor; Dr. Lois Patton, professor of business administration and the chapter’s vice president; and Mike Dillard, assistant professor of business administration and the chapter’s secretary/treasurer.
Daniel Hutson, loan specialist for the West Central Texas Council of Governments, served as keynote speaker for the event.
Sigma Beta Delta was founded in 1994 to honor students who have attained superior records in business programs in schools and colleges with regional accreditation. HPU's chapter received its charter in 1999.
