ZUMBA® Fitness Master class to benefit Brown County children

BROWNWOOD – November 21, 2011 – Howard Payne University and Brownwood’s Fitness Fusion Studio are partnering to benefit Brown County’s annual Toys for Kids program with an evening of fun and ZUMBA® Fitness.

Shemane Nugent, wife of rock musician Ted Nugent, will lead a ZUMBA® Fitness (Latin-inspired dance fitness) class, on Dec. 1 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at HPU’s Elliston-Cassle Wellness Center.

Admission for the event is a new toy to be donated to Toys for Kids. The program helps area families in need at Christmas by providing toys and gifts for their children.

“We encourage everyone to come out and dance or just come out and watch the fun,” said Susan Oliver, a ZUMBA® Fitness instructor with Fitness Fusion Studio.

Shemane Nugent is a certified fitness instructor and was selected as a “ZIN Jammer™,” in which she travels the world helping ZUMBA® Fitness instructors develop choreography and teaching skills. She is donating her entire teaching fee for the event to Brown County’s Toys for Kids.

Pre-registration for the class is recommended, as space will be limited. Registration forms are available at HPU’s Elliston-Cassle Wellness Center, Nathana’s Tanning and Hair Salon, Curves of Brownwood and Fitness Fusion Studio.
