Karley, whose father, Greg Simmons, died while fighting fires in Eastland County in April, was a member of a wind ensemble group to premiere a special selection in his memory composed by Jordan, one of Dr. Tucker's sons. Karley was one of almost 300 high school band students from across Texas on campus last week.
