HPU’s Pre-College Program Announces Fall Classes
The Pre-College department at Howard Payne University is announcing upcoming fall classes in music, Kindermusik and art. Classes and lessons are available for children to adults and will begin on Monday, August 30. The registration deadline for the fall semester is Wednesday, August 25.

Plans are underway for Jacket Journey 2010 at Howard Payne University. Three hundred fifty-seven incoming first-year and transfer students are registered to attend the new student orientation weekend Thursday, August 19 – Sunday, August 22.

HPU Students Lead Incarcerated Youth to Christ
Throughout the past year, five young men from Howard Payne University have spent their Monday nights leading a Bible study. The Bible study was not on campus, or even at a local church; it was held at Brownwood’s Ron Jackson State Juvenile Correction Complex.

Price Reduced for HPU Young Scholars and Summers Scholars Program
The price has been reduced for the Young and Summer Scholars programs at Howard Payne University. Originally $150 per child, the price is now $100 each. Young and Summer Scholars will be held July 19-23, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the HPU Academy of Freedom campus.

God's Provision Encourages HPU Graduate
Cara Brewer, a 2010 graduate of Howard Payne University, was thrilled recently to learn that she will receive a full-tuition scholarship to Texas Tech University School of Law this fall. She gratefully acknowledges, however, that this is not the first time she has experienced God’s provision for her education.
HPU Students Attend Model U.N. Conference in San Francisco
Twelve Howard Payne University students attended the Model United Nations of the Far West Conference held in San Francisco in April. While the students learned a great deal and enjoyed the experience, the most memorable part of their trip was paying tribute to their teacher, HPU professor Dr. Joe Weatherby, who passed away suddenly in March.
