Make an Impact

You may ask, “How can I help HPU?” The answer: Join the HP³ Impact Team! 

Team Members agree to pray, promote and provide for HPU. Read more below and use the link to join and starting making an impact!

The word “impact” is an acrostic that summarizes the ways alumni and friends can help HPU. 

  • I – Inspire others to give 
  • M – Mentor and share jobs

  • A – Attend an event
  • C – Connect HPU with friends
  • T – Target a prospect and refer or bring to campus

Pray

  1. Commit to pray daily for students, faculty, staff and leadership. 
  2. Sign up for prayer updates to sign up for the HPU Family Devotional.

Promote

  1. Click the “Refer a Student” button below to share the name of a potential, future Yellow Jacket. 
  2. Join the Welcome Team and call new or transfer students during the summer and/or winter months by e-mailing Jacob Rohrer at jrohrer@hputx.edu. 
  3. Pick a preview event and bring a student to campus. Click the link below to view dates and times of upcoming events. 
  4. Host an HPU day at your church by setting up a table with materials in the lobby – contact Dr. Ben Martin at bmartin@hputx.edu. 
  5. Host a send off party during the summer months for new HPU students from your area – contact Dr. Kalie Lowrie at klowrie@hputx.edu. 
  6. “Like” and “share” social media posts.

Provide

  1. Click the “Give Now” button at the top right of the screen to set up a recurring gift. 
  2. Make a list of 5 HPU friends to call or e-mail. Then, call or e-mail them to support the Howard Payne Fund or another project that is on your heart like the Academy Renovation or the Welcome Center.
  3. Start a letter, e-mail or social media campaign for a specific project by e-mailing dmeinecke@hputx.edu. 
  4. Sign up your business to offer mentoring, internships, and job shadowing for current students and to share job opportunities for graduating seniors – contact Dr. Kalie Lowrie at klowrie@hputx.edu. 
  5. Connect advancement staff with your friends by hosting a vision dinner in your home or making a personal visit together – contact Dr. Dale Meinecke at dmeinecke@hputx.edu. 
  6. Join the Robnett Legacy Society by setting up a planned estate gift in your will by contacting Bill Fishback at cliebrum@hputx.edu.
