Student Giving

Supporting HPU's Mission

Giving is at the core of following the example of Christ. In light of this in recent years, HPU has worked hard to educate students about the importance of philanthropy. In addition to the scholarships made possible by the generosity of alumni and friends of the University, students are more cognizant to the fact that tuition alone does not cover their full HPU experience.

The 18.89 Club was established to continue educating students and building a culture of giving while they are on campus. Modeled after The 1889 Society, which includes donors who give $1,889 or more annually, students are inducted into The 18.89 Club for giving $5 annually during their time at HPU. The 18.89 Club inductees are invited to a special event and recognized in the annual President’s Report their graduating year.

Howard Payne students have also established annual class gift campaigns to encourage a giving culture and to leave their class legacy by providing welcoming spaces and activities for future students.
