Blacklight Bingo draws in 150

by Katie Cravey | HPU Student Activity Council hosted its annual Black Light Bingo from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Aug. 23 in the Bullion Suites. There was over $800 worth of prizes for students to take home with them if they were lucky enough to get a bingo. This was a successful year for this event as over 150 students participated.

“It was a great turnout with cool prizes,” said Gabi Diazdeleon. “I went with my sorority sisters and we had a blast!” Black Light Bingo is a great way for students to hang out and meet more people on campus.

Who doesn’t love free stuff? Jake Bowren won a hammock playing bingo two years ago. He said that he still uses it.

Sadly, not everyone who plays Black Light Bingo is a winner.

“I’m sad I didn’t win anything but I had so much fun anyways” said Brittany Rideau. Winners and non-winners alike have fun in common when participating in this annual event.

The HPU Student Activity Council did a great job creating a cool atmosphere that made all students feel welcome. If you missed this event, make sure you put it on your calendar for next year!
