A Night of Worship with Matt papa
Presented by HPU’s Bachelor of Arts in Worship Ministry
October 23, at 7:00 p.m. in L.J. Mims Auditorium
Join us for a night of worship led by veteran songwriter and musician Matt Papa. Tickets are free, but reservations are requested as space is limited. This will be a wonderful night of worship for our community. Local churches are encouraged to bring groups to attend. For more information, call 325-649-8500.
Matt Papa is the writer of “His Mercy Is More” and “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death,” and is a three-time Dove Award nominated artist.
October 24 - Songwriting workshop
Matt will be doing a short residency with our students, alumni and friends of the university on Friday, October 24. He will focus on the aspect of songwriting, and going deeper into the theology and methodology behind writing songs for the church. HPU’s Bachelor of Arts in Worship Ministry is a new degree offered through the School of Christian Studies and School of Education and Fine Arts. Students interested in pursuing a vocational career in worship ministry are encouraged to consider this degree with training in theology, music, leadership and ministry. The program is designed to prepare worship ministers to be proactive in the education and application of music in the modern church.
