HPU Women's Club
The purpose of the Howard Payne University Women’s Club is to promote fellowship and service among the present and former female faculty and staff of Howard Payne University, female spouses of present and former faculty and staff of Howard Payne University, and female friends of Howard Payne University. Women’s Club members meet frequently for social and service opportunities provided throughout the year by the leadership team. These opportunities include, but are not limited to, an annual sweet life membership meeting, fall brunch, providing treats for faculty and staff, operating the Jacket Closet, and coordinating and hosting Women to Women as well as the Yellow Rose Scholarship Luncheon.
The Jacket Closet exists to provide free new or gently used clothing and accessories for all Howard Payne students. Attire is suitable for internships, interviews, employment or other more formal events. The Jacket Closet is open twice a semester or as needed upon request. Items are donated by the Howard Payne family, friends of the university and community partners.

Women to Women
Women to Women coordinates community between members of the club and female HPU students through fellowship, Bible study, discipleship, and mentoring. The group consists of grown and college girls that meet at least once a month for service and social opportunities.
Yellow Rose Scholarship Luncheon is held annually in the spring. The primary purposes of this luncheon are to provide a scholarship to one deserving and qualified female student, as well as honor one woman who represents Christian values and beliefs that are foundational to Howard Payne University. To facilitate this fundraising endeavor table sponsorships are sold and proceeds above and beyond event costs, including the meal, go directly to the scholarship endowment fund.
Annual dues shall be used to help the Women’s Club provide experiences that encourage, serve, and invest in our students, staff, and faculty, such as hosting social gatherings and service opportunities. Annual dues exclude the Yellow Rose Scholarship Luncheon. Additional fundraising events may be held if the club so desires. Annual dues are twenty-five dollars ($25.00), which shall be collected by the Treasurer and due before the close of the academic year, preferably on or before October 1.
