Sigma Beta Delta

Sigma Beta Delta is an international business honor society in business, management and administration which began as a vision to recognize outstanding students in smaller colleges and universities. The organization was founded in spring 1994 with seven charter members, the first charter awarded to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Howard Payne University became a charter member of Sigma Beta Delta on January 26, 1999.

The purpose of Sigma Beta Delta is to encourage and recognize scholarship and academic achievement among business students and to encourage and promote personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind. Membership is by invitation only to those students who are a declared business major and meet the membership criteria.
