Briefly describe your call to ministry. In high school, I wanted to be a basketball coach. By fall, when I enrolled at Howard Payne, I knew I was called to Christian ministry. I did not really want to be a traditional role, i.e., pastor, music, etc. I was always involved in Youth Ministry (which I served in for more than 40 years).
What do you enjoy most about working at HPU?
I love being with students in and out of the classroom.
What gives you the most satisfaction in your work?
Seeing the “light turn on” for a student.
Approximately how many HPU graduates have you helped secure church ministry positions?
I have helped 20-50 students in ministry each year while they have been enrolled, and have additionally provided names of many graduates to many churches.
