Health Services

Health Services

Health Services is dedicated to supporting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students so they can thrive academically and personally. We provide access to healthcare resources, wellness education, preventive services, health screenings, referrals, and guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle; all provided for free.

Our goal is to promote a safe and healthy campus community through compassionate care, health awareness initiatives, and connections to local medical and mental health providers when specialized care is needed.

Mission

To enhance student success by fostering a culture of health, wellness, and personal responsibility through accessible resources, education, and support services. For more about our mission, find our core values here.

HPU Student Health Form

All students are required to complete and submit the HPU Student Health Form.

Please review this important information about the Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination Requirements. Effective January 1, 2012, all new entering students — and former students who are returning after a break in enrollment — are required to comply with the State-mandated bacterial meningitis vaccination law.

Many college students are able to continue health insurance coverage under their parents’ health plan. Students should always verify this information before beginning college and also determine how long they will be eligible for coverage under their parents’ plan. For students needing to investigate individual health insurance options, feel free to stop by the Office of Student Experience for informational brochures or visit Texas Health Options online.

The university nurse is here to help students stay healthy so they can focus on academics and campus life.
