HPU's Privacy Policy

Howard Payne University (HPU) values your privacy. This policy applies to the HPU website and the data collection and usage by the University. By using the HPU website, you consent to the data collection and usage.   HPU collects personal information, such as your e-mail address, name, home address or telephone number from forms on the website for events including camps, applications and event registrations. Anonymous demographic information is also collected by HPU. There is also information such as your IP address, browser type, and access times that is collected. We employ the use of third-party vendors. Our site uses cookies to enhance functionality, analyze site usage and improve user experience. For Users of the Howard Payne University Messaging Service

  1. The Messaging Service used by Howard Payne University engages with prospective students, parents and university donors both on-site and off-site at Howard Payne University in Texas. The purpose of this Messaging Service is to send promotional and personalized marketing text (e.g., SMS and MMS) messages to university donors and to provide Frequency Asked Questions information to prospective students and parents.
  1. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to the 10-digit long code. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. You acknowledge that our text message platform may not recognize and respond to unsubscribe requests that does not include the “STOP” command and agree that Howard Payne University and its service providers will have no liability for failing to honor such requests. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
