By Katie Cravey | The Blue Crew is making a comeback with the same purpose of uniting the student body to promote school spirit within HPU.
“Blue crew is going to be a student led spirit group that promotes school spirit at sports events and other HPU events as well,” said HPU cheer captain Mackynlie Conkin.
The cheer team will be orchestrating the Blue Crew with the co-sponsorship of Professor Rebecca Hair and Titus Brown. The cheer team is excited to be leading this in hopes to bring more school spirit to the HPU athletic games.
Although the Blue Crew has not been around for the past few years, they are expected to make a strong comeback.
“Right now we have over 30 people signed up and are anticipating more! They are expected to cheer along with cheerleaders, lead the fight song for fans, show school spirit, run flags (for football) and just show what HPU is all about!” said Conklin.
