Jacket Alums in Ministry Alumni Chapter
Jacket Alums in Ministry (JAM) is a network of Howard Payne University graduates and friends who have given their lives to Christian ministry and have a great appreciation and love for our school. The network exists under the work of the HPU Alumni Association and will provide fellowship and networking opportunities in various forms. Prayer, promotion, and providing resources, are the key actions of the network.
There are several key JAM initiative each year including:
- Ambassadors to Christian High Schools
- Faithful Servant Award
- Freshman Bible Distribution
- Prayer Ministry
Freshman Bible Distribution
We have an amazing opportunity each year to welcome incoming Freshmen and transfer students and place a copy of the Scriptures in their hands as a gift. JAM coordinates this project and we need your help raising the money needed to purchase these bibles. There are many great stories of students who have received a bible from us and have come to faith in Christ. God’s word brings salvation and is a lamp to everyone’s feet and a light to the path God has them on. Psalm 119:105.
We need your help! We want to purchase 275 bibles to give away. This year, we have an incredible opportunity to give the Jesus Bible to every incoming freshman and transfer student at a reduced price of $20 per bible. It is a leather-bound study bible that they will cherish for years to come.
