Students in the Mathematics Department learn how to think both critically and creatively and understand why mathematical concepts and results are true. HPU gives students different options depending on their goals, including a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, a minor in Mathematics, and preparation programs for students who want to teach math in middle school or high school. The skills students develop, such as logical thinking, problem-solving, and working with numbers, can also be useful in many different math-related careers.
