- Visit a local park: There are several beautiful parks in Brownwood. Open to the public, these parks are a great place to enjoy the beautiful nature of central Texas.
- Riverside Park: Take a hike or a run on one of the beautiful trails, play a round of disk golf or try your luck at fishing in the river. Don’t forget to bring a loaf of bread to feed the friendly ducks.
- Coggin Park: Featuring basketball and tennis courts as well as a sand volleyball pit, Coggin park is the perfect place for some outdoor recreation. The park also includes a large open field for organized games with friends.
- Lake Brownwood State Park: A beautiful location for hiking, swimming or hammocking. The $5 entrance fee gives you access to hours of beautiful scenery and nature.
