School of Business

Howard Payne University’s School of Business prepares and equips students who are planning to enter a variety of career fields. With undergraduate majors available in accounting, business administration, management, management information systems, marketing and computer information systems, as well as a Master of Business Administration graduate program, students will develop the skills necessary to enter supervisory and management occupations, specialized professions, secondary teaching careers and more.

Outstanding faculty members from diverse backgrounds support the university’s mission, and the programs in the School of Business, as with all of the university’s academic programs, are in keeping with HPU’s Christian worldview.

Teacher Certification

Teacher certification at the secondary-level is available.

Beyond the classroom

Internship opportunities are available in accounting, business administration, computer information systems and marketing. Internship sites are mutually selected by students and their advisor.

Honors

Students applying for admission to the School of Business may also choose to apply for admission to the Guy D. Newman Honors Academy. Providing an innovative approach to the academic program, the Academy enables students to combine their specialized major with coursework grounded in an understanding of the American free enterprise system.

Scholarships

There are a number of scholarships, grants and loans available through the university’s Office of Financial Aid. Additionally, departmental scholarships are available for HPU students who are already enrolled in their major.
