Transfer SCHOLARSHIPS
Transfer Scholarships
Students may only receive one scholarship listed in this section. For all scholarships, students must remain continuously enrolled in fall and spring semesters and maintain satisfactory academic progress toward a degree to continue to receive the award. All scholarship awards are for tuition only at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas.
Presidential Scholar – $16,500*
Eligibility Criteria: 3.80 Cumulative GPA based upon transferable credit from a regionally-accredited institution or membership in the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. Student also eligible to apply for the Honors Academy
Dean's Scholar – $16,000*
Eligibility Criteria: 3.40 Cumulative GPA based upon transferable credit from a regionally-accredited institution. Student also eligible to apply for the Honors Academy
Yellow Jacket Scholar – $14,000*
Eligibility Criteria: 2.00 Cumulative GPA based upon transferable credit from a regionally-accredited institution
Academic Incentive Grant – $7,000*
Awarded to transfer students who demonstrate strong academic promise. This grant may move up to the Yellow Jacket Scholar level following their first semester. This move in scholarship level is based upon successful completion of first semester with a GPA of 2.00 or above. Such increase in a scholarship award may require adjustment of the total aid
