Dr. Robert Mangrum, Professor of History and Government
The Office of University Historian is primarily concerned with the collection of historical data about the university. Dr. Mangrum works with various offices and programs of the university to identify, catalog and preserve HPU artifacts such as written documents, photos, catalogs, yearbooks, school newspapers, oral interviews, Board of Trustee and Academy Board minutes and more.
Dr. Mangrum compiles this information into regular articles for the Link magazine and the Yellow Jacket student newspaper. He is also the author of For Howard Payne My All: 125 Years of Christian Higher Education and Service, 1889-2015.
