BROWNWOOD – May 2, 2017 – Howard Payne University’s Office of Career Services has launched an internship program designed to pair local employers with qualified HPU interns across a variety of academic fields.
“Internships are invaluable experiences for our students and beneficial to the employers as well,” said Tammy Arreola, career services coordinator. “HPU interns are highly motivated and eager to put into practice what they’ve learned in the classroom.”
Additionally, said Arreola, interns provide real value to the companies for which they work at little-to-no cost to the employer.
“HPU interns bring fresh ideas and new strengths and skills to the workplace,” said Arreola. “Students from HPU go on to become excellent employees, often at the sites where they have interned.”
