Howard Payne University welcomes Wes Livesay as vice president for advancement

BROWNWOOD – June 9, 2026 – Howard Payne University (HPU) has named Wes Livesay to the position of vice president for advancement. He supervises HPU’s offices of development, alumni relations, external affairs and marketing and communications. He began June 3.

Livesay brings more than 20 years of experience in fundraising strategy, gift planning, philanthropy and donor portfolio relations across higher education and healthcare sectors. He is skilled in developing planned and major gift strategies and securing planned, principal, major and blended gifts.

“God has blessed HPU with record donor participation and institutional growth over these past several years,” said Dr. Cory Hines, HPU president. “We are excited about the future, and I am thrilled the Lord has called Wes Livesay to HPU. He brings a wealth of experience, leadership and success in fundraising strategy and donor relations. We look forward to how the Lord will use him to advance what He is doing on the campus of Howard Payne University as vice president for advancement.”

Livesay has served in leadership and development roles at Baylor University, Texas Christian University, McLennan Community College Foundation, Baylor Scott & White Health, University of Texas Health Science Center and Communities Foundation of Texas.

Livesay is a two-time graduate of Baylor University, with a B.B.A. in Marketing and an M.S. in Education (management). He is a member of Charitable Gift Planners, Association of Fundraising Professionals and American Healthcare Professionals.
