Thank you for considering Howard Payne University and the School of Christian Studies as your partner in the next step of your quest to follow Jesus. Our mission is simple: to equip and train the next generation of leaders called to go and change the world to the glory of God.

As you explore our wide variety of majors, we seek to meet you where you are and help you take the next step in your story. Whether you want to know and teach the Word of God, lead a local church, inspire and equip children and youth, or lead believers in worship and praise, we have a path for you.

Our faculty and adjuncts desire to teach and equip the next generation not only with the academic rigor of a college education but also with the practical, day-to-day skills and attitudes necessary to thrive and succeed in today’s challenging ministry world, both in the United States and beyond.
