Howard Payne University’s inaugural Dr. James Shields Speaker Series in Spiritual Formation will be held on Tuesday, October 21 and Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
Dr. Loyd Allen, professor of church history and spiritual formation at Mercer University, will be the first guest lecturer for the series.
Lecture 1: Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Richard and Wanda Jackson Room in the Paul and Jane Meyer Faith and Life Leadership Center
Lecture 2: Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. in L.J. Mims Auditorium
