Wireless Connection Information

HPU has wireless access in the residence halls, apartments, academic buildings, and other areas on campus where students may gather. If you are purchasing a laptop, tablet device, smart phone, or streaming device (Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick, etc.) please be certain it has WPA2-Enterprise wireless capability. If this level of security is not available, an Ethernet adapter and cable will be required for connectivity. Authentication with your HPU credentials will also be needed.

NOTE FOR STUDENTS: We ask that you NOT bring wireless access points or routers to campus. If bringing a wireless printer, please note that you will need to disable the wireless feature once you arrive.

When on campus, faculty, staff, and students will connect to the ‘Jackets’ network. Only devices with strong security and encryption (WPA2-Enterprise) are supported on the campus wireless. Instructions for connecting your specific operating system can be found in myGateway on the IT Services resources page. You may also bring your device to the Information Technology Services offices for configuration assistance.
