BROWNWOOD – August 8, 2017 – Approximately 130 new and returning Howard Payne University football players moved into residence halls Monday morning in advance of the fall 2017 athletic season. More students will arrive on campus next week, with classes beginning August 21.

The athletes will attend a variety of meetings and events as they get to know one another and the coaching staff. Football practice began Tuesday morning.

“We are excited about everyone being on campus now and starting the process of building the future of HPU football,” said Braxton Harris, head coach. “This is a great group of young men establishing the foundation of the program.”
