BROWNWOOD – October 28, 2021 – Howard Payne University recently held the second installment of the Community Leadership Lunch and Learn series. The sold-out event featured a presentation by Dr. Julie Welker, chair of HPU’s Department of Communication and professor of communication, and a meal catered by Sodexo.
Dr. Welker’s presentation, titled “The Media Mix: Maximizing Small Business Presence in the New Media Market,” offered businesses insight into strategies for advertising and strategic messaging using the PESO (Paid, Earned, Shared and Owned) model of strategic communication. The program also included a message from Rex Tackett, owner of Wendlee Broadcasting.
Wendlee Broadcasting was the title sponsor for the event.
