BROWNWOOD – August 18, 2017 – Jacket Journey, Howard Payne University’s new-student orientation, began Thursday with events continuing throughout the weekend. Incoming students and upperclassmen leaders and support staff paused Friday morning for a group photo.
Due to rain, HPU’s Chime In ceremony, originally scheduled for Thursday evening, was postponed until Monday, August 21, at 4:30 p.m. The community is invited to attend as the new students ceremoniously walk through the university’s Wilson Gate before arriving at HPU’s Old Main Tower to sing the alma mater for the first time together as a class.
