Induction
There are associate and full members. The requirements for full membership include completion of 12 hours of biology, including a course above the 1000 level, and a minimum GPA in biology. The induction is usually held in the spring semester.
Activities
The chapter holds several meetings each semester. Sometimes former students or others will attend to talk about their profession or to describe their experiences with postgraduate school. The chapter emphasizes a three-fold program: stimulation of scholarship, dissemination of scientific knowledge, and promotion of biological research.
